Donate To The Tailgate

Once again, it's time to begin planning our annual Homecoming Tailgate! At this point, we are less than 5 months away from this year’s homecoming celebration coming up this fall! As you may know by now, Bethune-Cookman University has decided to celebrate this year’s homecoming week from Monday October 31st to Sunday November 6th. This means the football game will be played on Saturday November 5th against Alabama State University. We are definitely anticipating a great game and great fellowship amongst the brothers as always.

Our tailgate continues to be one of the things people look forward to about homecoming, especially with our "DB Top Shelf Tailgate Experience". We ask brothers to bring a bottle of alcohol priced at least $100 and all the brothers who bring a bottle can try drinks brought by the other participating brothers. This is not a requirement and is only available to those who want to participate. It was a hit in 2019 and continued to grow last year with brothers from the 80s to the 2010s participating. As Alphas, we never want to be complacent or take any backward steps and this is one of our ways of adding on to our tailgate. If you have ideas for the tailgate or you would like to help, please let me know!

To pull off the tailgate, we are seeking at least 30 Alpha Brothers to help kickoff the Delta Beta Homecoming Tradition with a minimum donation of $100. These brothers are considered "Visionary Brothers". They do the heavy lifting, but we ask brothers to not be heavy and please contribute. Any brother planning on attending, we're asking you to make a minimum donation of $30. Even if you do not plan on attending, you can make a donation. Your contribution will provide working capital for the tailgate. We will begin accepting donations today, Friday, October  28, 2022.
